Red Lake Nation Weatherization/CAP

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To coordinate and implement various aspects of program, financial and budget management as well as providing necessary services to the reservation community in need of energy assistance. Reports to the Executive Administrator, full-time position w/benefits, salary; DOQ.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Responsible for writing program work plans and proposals

• Responsible for financial management adhering to strict compliance with State policy and procedures

• Responsible for conducting on-going quality control of program services ensuring household income and energy consumption is accurate

• Responsible for maintaining accurate participant records

• Responsible for approving primary heating and crisis heating grants for program participants

• Negotiate with other social service networks to locate additional resources for participants in crisis

• Responsible for the preparation of program activity reports and supervision of employees which includes recommending promotions, reassignments, status changes and hiring of employees

• Negotiate and write contract for services in compliance with grant specifications

• Keeps abreast with evolving computer technologies

• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

• B.A. degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Knowledge of the mission, organization, program requirements and policy and procedure of the tribe

• Skill in effective and diplomatic oral and written communications in dealing with various people and organizations

• Possess skill in conducting job performance reviews and evaluations

• Knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of effective financial management and budget development

• Must be computer knowledgeable using various software

• Must be able to attend mandatory State meetings and training programs

• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test and Background Check
