Mohawk Family Loses Everything in Fire, Community Steps Up

A Mohawk family lost everything they owned including two dogs and three cats in a home fire on the St. Regis Mohawk territory in Akwesasne on Friday, January 16. Allena Jacobs and her family were not hurt in the house fire, but the family lost all of their clothing, furniture and much more. The family was also uninsured.
