AFP Minnesota Statement on Senate Passage of the Keystone Pipeline

SAINT PAUL, Minn. -- Americans for Prosperity Minnesota State Director John Cooney released the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to pass the Keystone Pipeline:

“We are disappointed in Senators Klobuchar and Franken’s decision to put their liberal friends in Washington, D.C. ahead of the Minnesota voters who sent them there. Their vote against the Keystone Pipeline is a betrayal, plain and simple. Now is the time to build the Keystone Pipeline. This bipartisan, common sense investment will provide relief for middle-class families, create 42,000 good-paying jobs and provide secure energy for the Nation’s future. We’ll be mobilizing our network of activists in the coming weeks to be sure Minnesota’s Senators are held accountable. We urge the President to put aside partisan differences and swiftly sign this bill into law.”
