Beatrice Kathleen Fairbanks, 73, of Red Lake, began her spiritual journey on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji with her family surrounding her. She was born on October 6, 1941 on the Ponemah road, the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Spears) Rosebear.

Beatrice enjoyed being with her family, spending time with her grandchildren, sisters, and her numerous friends. She also loved decorating her yard and spending time working with her flowers. She also liked going to the casino and playing cards.

The family that she joins again are her husband Charles Fairbanks, parents; Frank and Margaret, sisters; Eliza Rosebear, Darlene Rosebear, and Lila Rosebear, brothers; Francis "Butch" Rosebear, and Lloyd Rosebear, aunts; Mary Rosebear, Rosella Spears, Estelle Rosebear, and Elizabeth English, uncles; Gilbert Rosebear, Ernest Rosebear and Jerome Spears.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory include her daughters; Donna Fairbanks of Red Lake, and Carolyn Beaulieu of Red Lake, special daughter Alva Palin of Magalia, CA, brothers; David (Andrea) Rosebear of Ponemah, and special brother Mike Dahl of White Earth, sisters; Shirley Rosebear of Ponemah and Rose (Myron Kingbird) Rosebear of Ponemah, grandchildren; Georgianna Bealieu, Arlene Beaulieu, Carla Fairbanks, Marla Fairbanks, Dorla (Kyle Stillday, Sr.) Fairbanks, and Dan Fairbanks, 21 great grandchildren, special great grandchildren; Liberty Beaulieu, Kyle Stillday, Jr., Lakota Beaulieu, Lawrence Larson, III, and Charles Claw, special nieces; Ashlyn Martin, Kailyn (KK) Martin, and Betsy Rosebear. One special great nephew Tyler Rosebear

A wake for Beatrice will begin at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 and will continue until the 9:00 a.m. service on Monday, January 26, all held at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah. Spiritual leader will be Anna Carol Gibbs. Pallbearers will be Garrick Martin, Mike Dahl, Kevin Rosebear, Sr., Kevin Rosebear, Jr., Frank Rosebear, Kyle Stillday, Sr. and Dan Fairbanks. Alternates will be Gerald Jordain, Dave Rosebear, Jr., Jerrell Martin, Myron Kingbird, Sr., Dale Beaulieu and Cal Beaulieu. Honorary pallbearers will be Carol Barrett, Delores Hammitt, Paula Rossbach, Glenda Martin, Betsy Rosebear, Sandra Rosebear, Jay Rosebear, Rhonda Rosebear, Emily Parkhurst, Donna Sumner, Mary Sumner, Cora Rosebear, Carla Fairbanks, Marla Fairbanks, Dorla Fairbanks, Georgianna Beaulieu, Arlene Beaulieu, Andrea Rosebear, Sherilyn Spears and Marlene Spears. Interment will be held in the Ponemah Point Family Burial Grounds following the service on Monday.
