Faith Luverne Collier (LaRoque), age 79, of Hastings, Minnesota (Formally Sisseton, South Dakota) Journeyed to the Spirit World on Saturday January 3, 2015.

She was born June 28, 1936 the daughter of Robert Fayette LaRoque and Beulah Mae Flute.

Faith was a free spirit, full of love and kindness to all, especially children and animals. She loved reading, nature, fishing, going to the Racetrack in California, Arizona and Canterbury Downs.

She was formerly employed at many prominent restaurants in Minneapolis, California and Las Vegas. In the 1960's she was co-owner of a office maintenance business in Altadena, California. In 1980's and 1990's she was a proud, Minneapolis woman cab driver. While finishing her College education in the early 2000's, she worked at the College Book Store, and retired to Sisseton South Dakota. She carried with her a wealth of knowledge, and shared this gift to everyone.

Faith is survived by one son: Steven; brothers: Robert LaRoque, Chuck LaRoque, Bill LaRoque, Roger Terry and Shawn Terry; sisters: Lynne (Wimby) Hanson, Sherri Billington, Pamela Roberson; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her grandfather "Chief Red Fox" Taylor Flute, grandmother Lavina Cordier Townshend, mother Beulah Flute and father Robert L LaRoque, sister Roberta (Sissy) Starr, brother David "Little Rd Fox" Roberson and by a niece Denijah.

Funeral services for Faith Collier will be held at The Indian Ministries, 3045 Park Ave. Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday, January 10th 2015 at 1:00 P.M.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. till time of service on Saturday, January 10th at The Indian Ministries in Minneapolis.

Honorary Casket Bearer is Joe Ross.

Casket Bearers will be Tom Rosen, Scott Hanson, Charles LaRoque, William LaRoque, Tate Hallstrom & Maurice McClom.
