Melvin Lee Bullhead, “Mukwa”, 64, of Ponemah, MN passed away at the Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, MN on Monday, December 8, 2014. He was born on October 7, 1950 in Ponemah, the son of Edward and Ethel (Spears) Bullhead.

Melvin liked going to the Casino, pow-wows, and spending time with his family and friends.

Those family members he joins again include his son; Justin Bullhead, parents; Edward and Ethel, sisters; Rose Marie Bebo, Rachel Hunter and Edna Rodewald, one brother LeRoy Bullhead.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory include his brother; Floyd Lee Bullhead of Ponemah, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A wake for Melvin will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2014 and will continue until the 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday, December 14, all at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah. Spiritual leader will be Steve Jackson. Pallbearers for Melvin will be Joe Bullhead, Jerome Graves, Tex Bullhead, Darwin Iceman, Jerry Ellis and Leon James Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Doris Spears, all his family and many friends. Interment will be held in the Bullhead family burial grounds in Ponemah following the service on Sunday.
