Thomas "Tom" Leo Strong, 60 years old, of Red Lake, MN passed away at his home in Red Lake on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Tom was born on March 16, 1954 in Red Lake, the son of Simon and Susan (Iyahbedub) Strong.

Tom really enjoyed going to the casino and playing the penny machines. He also liked to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He liked going for rides and shopping at Wal-Mart.

Those family members that Tom joins again are his parents; Simon and Susan, brothers; Larry, William, Robert and Henry, sister; Dorothy, niece; Janna and nephew; Curtis.

Family he leaves behind to cherish his memory include his fiancé; Roberta Hamilton of Red Lake, step sons; Joseph Guinn of Red Lake, and Francis Guinn of Enger, MN, step daughter; Jackie Guinn of Bemidji, sisters; Alberta "Birdie" Senogles of Red Lake and Beverly Strong of Red Lake, special grandchildren; Leshawn Tibbetts and Reychel Guinn, 16 grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

A wake service for Tom will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Old Little Rock Community Center and will continue until the 2:00 p.m. service on Friday, December 12, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate. Pallbearers for Tom will be Joseph Guinn, Fred Donnell, Jerry Cook, Josh Lasley, J.R. Bellanger, and Henry Wakonabo. Alternate pallbearer will be Terry Senogles. Honorary pallbearers are all his grandchildren. Interment will be held at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake following the service on Friday.
