Dianne C. Gerhardson, 76, of Bemidji died Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center. Whenever He called on her, she was ready, willing and obedient. This time, He called her home.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN with Pastor Kent Dudley officiating with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation will also be from 5-7 pm Friday, December 5, 2014 with a 7:00 pm prayer service at the Northern Bible Church in Bemidji with Pastor Rick Weinert officiating.

Dianne Charlotte (Copeland) Gerhardson was born March 4, 1938, the middle of three daughters to C. B. and Myrtle Copeland. She was raised on a large farm near Kimball, MN and later in Belgrade, MN. Dianne learned the characteristics that would define her life: hard work, honesty, sociability and service to God. Dianne also had an independent streak, and it served her well when she asked a handsome young man for a ride on his Harley. That event led to 58 years of marriage to Larry and lots of kids and grandkids; all of whom she was devoted to. Dianne wore out her knees working side-by-side with Larry in their grocery store and service station in Redby, MN. She wore out her shoulders giving hugs, sewing weighted blankets for special needs children and volunteering for numerous organizations through the years. Dianne never complained about her own ailments, "someone always has things worse than me", she would say. She left the world a better place for having lived in it.

She leaves behind her husband Lawrence "Larry"; daughter Jacque (Scott) Soderberg; sons Larry (Cathy) and Terry (Lori); grandchildren Kim, Lara, Nic, Samantha, James, Zach, Emily and Kerissa; 3 great grandchildren and her sister Judy. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marlys.
