Michael James McNeal, 16 of Red Lake, MN died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Red Lake Hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake, Minnesota. A wake will begin at 11:00am, Monday, October 20, 2014, at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN, and will continue until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, MN, under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born on April 3, 1998 to Robert (Berta) McNeal Sr. and Alvina (Kay) Norris. Michael was raised by his grandma Ina Mae McNeal and his aunt Shirley McNeal. He attended the Red Lake Elementary, Middle School, and High School. He enjoyed being with his son, listening to music, hanging out with his bro's, cruising around when he could get the van, he loved to play cops and robbers, but the cops always won.

He is survived by his son, Zach McNeal; son's mother, Murielle Owens; father, Bob (Berta) McNeal; mother, Alvina Kay Norris; grandma, Ina Mae McNeal; grandpa, Micky Norris; brothers, Robbie & Joey McNeal, Gordon, Reynaldo & Carlo Norris; sister, Jessica Norris; aunts, Shirley McNeal, Jan (Toady) Thunder, Karen (Eli) Ramirez, Edith Norris, & Vanessa Norris; uncles, Harlan, Billy (Irene), & Ron McNeal, Don (Michelle) Langer, Keenan Sayers, and Tyrone Norris; several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Herb McNeal, Teddy and Ida Cook, Henrietta Neadeau, cousins Michelle "Mushy" Spears, Diane Cook, Darren Cook, Carla Brun, Joey Pelchat, and uncle Frank Norris.
