Michelle “Mitzi” Thompson, age 41, of Grand Forks, ND, died Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Sanford Health Systems in Fargo, ND.

Mitzi was born February 10, 1973, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Candice Thompson. Growing up, she spent time in Minneapolis and White Earth, MN. Following her schooling at Circle of Life she lived and worked both on and off the reservation. Mitzi had currently spent the last four years with Devin Clark in Grand Forks. Cooking was one of Mitzi’s specialties. She loved to cook and gather with friends and family. She enjoyed traveling and doing beadwork in her spare time. Although her time on earth was to short, she cherished every minute she could spend with her children and grandchildren.

Mitzi is survived by her children: Robyn Thompson, Raven Murray, Karen Thompson, Edliyah Thompson, Demtri Littlewolf, Darin Littlewolf and Ashton Thompson; four grandchildren: Ashya, Adrian, Alexavier and Dakotah; one brother, Robert Thompson; four aunts, and three aunts; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandma, Frances Thompson, brother, Adrian Thompson, three uncles and one aunt.

Traditional Services will be held Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the Sports Complex in Naytahwaush, MN.

Interment will be held in Rice Lake, MN.
