Roderick "Rod" Joseph Long

Roderick “Rod” Joseph Long (Power in the sky), 55 of Duluth, died Friday, October 3, 2014 at Bayshore Care Center in Duluth, MN.

Traditional Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, MN. A wake will begin Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 5:00 pm, at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah until the time of service. Interment will be at the Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born January 10, 1959 in Red Lake, MN the son of Pat Long and Eldora (Dick) Martinez. He lived in Duluth to be close to his aunt Pam Pierce. He had lived in Duluth most of his life. He loved to play keno, make art projects, play cards and listen to the radio.

He is survived by his father Pat Long, brothers Francisco Estrasda and Gordon Long; half sisters and aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and numerous cousins.
