Primary Function:

Supervise the 8 Canvassers that are registering voters and/or giving rides to the polls on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. Reports to the Political Education Committee (PEC), temporary employment opportunity from October 1, 2014 to November 4, 2014, $12.00 hourly wage for 20 hours per week.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

• Door to Door voter registration.

• Educate individuals on the importance of voting.

• Instruct individuals on upcoming candidate fair.

• Distribute nonpartisan literature to households or individuals.

• Give potential absentee voters ride to the polling site.

• Keep statistics on contacts made, registration, and number of literature delivered.

• Train and supervise Canvassers on above duties.

• Keeps statistics and report weekly to PEC.

• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years old.

• Proof of valid Minnesota Driver's License.

• Proof of current active Minnesota automobile insurance.
