(April 5, 1940 - August 27, 2014)

Sally Esther (Neadeau) May, 74, of Red Lake, MN passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. She was born to Andrew and "Gertie" (Black Eagle) Neadeau on April 5, 1940 in Red Lake.

Sally liked reading books about gardening and cooking, talking on the phone with friends and family, watching "oldies" DVDs and "The Price is Right"; and she read countless novels. She especially enjoyed the fellowship she found through the PTL church. She had a beautiful voice and sang for the Lord at many gatherings, tent meetings, birthdays, wakes, funerals and for people sick at many hospitals. In her younger days she enjoyed teaching people to cook and was considered by many to be the best fry bread maker in West End! She was a great listener and many people confided in her. She will be greatly missed by the Red Lake community.

Survivors include daughters, Earline (Tony) May, Rhonda May, Valerie (Leslie) May, and Charla (Dennis) Geionety; son, Charles (Alice) May; sister, Nancy Polonia; and brother, Melvin May, Sr .; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Preceding Sally in death were her daughter, Gail May; sisters, Rosetta (Neadeau) Jourdain, Margaret Neadeau, and Belva (Neadeau) Smallwood; brothers, Earl Parkhurst, Dan Parkhurst, Peter Parkhurst, and Andrew John Neadeau; grandsons, Jason Timbear May, Timothy Geionety, Curtis Heinonen, and infant grandson, Leland Robinson.

A wake will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Red Lake Center and continue until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2014, at the PTL Rock Church in Redby. Arrangements are being handled by Dennis Funeral Home of Walker (www.dennisfuneralhome.com)
