June Lussier Redday Mendoza, age 64, of N.E. Minneapolis Journeyed to the Spirit World on Monday, August 25th, 2014 at The Fairview University Hospital.

She was born on March 10, 1950 in Red Lake the daughter of Paul Lussier and Sally Gibbs.

June was a former Hennepin County Social Service worker and a Civil Rights Activist. She enjoyed attending Pow-Wows and was a traditional dancer. June loved being around her family and also talking on the phone with them. Church was important too.

Survived by children: Shannon Amelia Torres Guevera, James Lussier, Sally Redday, Carol Redday, Virginia Redday Muneton and Eugene Redday Jr.; twenty nine grandchildren; a brother: Oliver James Gibbs; a sister: Delores Fineday; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters and by her husband: Eugene Redday.

Funeral Services for June Lussier Redday Mendoza will be held on Saturday, August 30th at 2:00 P.M. at The Redby Community Center in Redby, Minnesota.

Interment will follow at The Fineday Family Cemetery in Pennington, Minnesota.

All night wakes will be held on Thursday, August 28th and Friday, August 29th beginning at 5:00 P.M. at The Redby Community Center in Redby, Minnesota.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be all her nephews.

Alternate Casket Bearers will be David Fineday Sr. & David Fineday Jr.

Casket Bearers will be Vincent Ellis-Hernandez, Mark Smith, Rathana Leng, Brandon Fineday, Bobby Fisher, Lowell Fisher, Avery Laguard and Richard Gibbs.
