Hilary "Hilly Bug" Ann Chase, passed away unexpectedly in Columbia Heights, MN on August 22nd, 2014 at the age of 21. Hilary was born on November 8th, 1992, in New Brighton, MN. She graduated from Spring Lake Park high school in 2012.

Hilary enjoyed listening to music, playing volleyball but Hilary's greatest joy was spending time with her siblings and her many friends. Hilary was a generous, sweet, loving and nurturing young lady with a bright and bubbly personality who loved her family and friends. She was passionate about working hard to take care of her younger siblings, her nephew and her niece. Hilary was the "rock" that held her family together. The elders say the good die young because the Creator needs them home with Him.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Melbourne Larsen and Shirley Larsen, uncles; Jim and Joe Larsen, and a cousin; Carlos Villa, Jr.

Hilary is survived by her parents; Joseph Russel Chase Jr. and Rebecca (Larsen) Chase from Columbia Heights, MN, grandparents; Joseph Russel Chase Sr. and Sharon Chase from Bena, MN and Kim Chase, siblings; Devin Chase Sr., Hanna Chase, Hailey Chase, Dylan Chase, Derrien Chase from Columbia Heights, MN; sister-in-law Rhonda Hunt and nephew Devin Chase Jr. and niece Tayah Reyes, aunts Rachel Goodsky (Larsen) and Nancy Chase

Family and friends are invited for visitation starting at 4:00 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Division of Indian Work, 1001 East Lake Street, Minneapolis, MN 55407. The services are being officiated by Mitch WalkingElk and Father Mike Tegeder. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Bena Community Center, Bena, MN (38 State 8 Bena) MN 56626 with Rev. Richard Cutbank officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery at Bena immediately following the service.
