On Tuesday, August 12, 2014, the Red Lake Tribal Council held their Regular Meeting at the Red Lake Humanities Center. Their first order of business was the swearing in of all remaining winners of the July 2014 Red Lake Tribal Run-Off Elections.

Annette Johnson was elected at Red Lake's new Tribal Treasurer, defeating Glenda Martin by 139 votes, 1466 to 1327.

The Little Rock District also has a new Representative, Charles Reynolds, who narrowly defeated Adrian Beaulieu by 22 votes, 261 to 239. Incumbent William "Billy" Green did not seek reelection.

All newly elected officers and representatives were sworn in, followed by honor songs, speeches, presentations and an inaugural feast.

A Special Election is also scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2014 to fill the unexpired term of former Red Lake Representative Donald "Dude" May, who passed away on March 8th of this year.

Until that time, Red Lake is now the only District not represented by two representatives.

Those filing were Donald Desjarlait, Deanna Lasley, Arlen Lussier, Jr., Lee Lussier, Clem May, Robert Smith, Cherilyn Spears and Julie Stately.
