Marvin Louis Roy, 90 of Bemidji, MN died Monday, August 19, 2014 at Golden Living Nursing Home of Walker.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, Minnesota with Pastor Dean Nelson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.

He was born April 18, 1924 in Mahnomen, MN the son of Alfred and Delphine (Beaulieu) Roy. He married Margaret Rice March 21, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York. He served in the US Navy during WWII from 1942-1945. He was formerly of Wausau, Wisconsin and a long time employee of Wausau Tile. They moved to Bemidji, MN eleven years ago to be near their daughter.

He is survived by his son Marvin (Ute) Roy, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, daughter Barbara (Jim) Picha of Bemidji, MN, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 65 years Margaret Roy, brothers Gerald, Robert and Myron and sisters Doris, Vera and Grace.
