Woman pleads guilty to stabbing; victim was found outside Beltrami County Jail

BEMIDJI -- A woman plead guilty today in Beltrami County Court to stabbing a woman in June.

Jenna Catherine Roy, 22, of Bemidji, is accused of stabbing a woman three times on June 14. Her victim was found sitting on the ground outside the Beltrami County Jail. Roy is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. She faces up to seven years imprisonment and a $14,000 fine.

According to court documents, the female victim was stabbed in the stomach, on the right side of her neck and on her left arm. The victim identified her attacker as Jenna Roy. Roy was found hiding in a closet in an apartment.

Roy is currently being held at the Beltrami County Jail. A sentencing date has been scheduled for Aug. 25.
