8 members file for 2-year Red Lake Representative seat

Eight Red Lake District members have filed for the Red Lake Representative seat of former Representative Donald "Dudie" May, who passed away on March 8th of this year.

A Special Election is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2014 to fill that unexpired term. If no one candidate receives more than 50% of the votes, a Run Off Election will probably be scheduled for October 2014.

After the July16 Run Off Election, Red Lake is now the only District not represented by two representatives.

This Special Election is for a 2-year term of office. Filing began on July 4, 2014 and ended on Saturday, July 19, 2014.

Those filing were Donald Desjarlait, Deanna Lasley, Arlen Lussier, Jr., Lee Lussier, Clem May, Robert Smith, Cherilyn Spears and Julie Stately.
