Matthew Edward Heath Little

Matthew Edward Heath Little, age 23, of Red Lake, Minnesota, currently residing in Minneapolis, journeyed to the Spirit World on Sunday, July 13, 2014.

Matt had a generous heart and was a loyal friend. He was passionate about writing poetry, and he sang and drummed pow wow. Matt was a champion chess player and taught many kids to play chess. He enjoyed playing cards and video games. He loved children and spending time with nieces and nephews and he loved music and poetry and was an avid reader.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Darma J. Little, sister Shanoah (Diego) Barajas, brothers Kyle Little and Calvin (Leah) Little, 4 nephews and 2 nieces, Victor, Diego Jr., Brayon and Connor; Angelia and Calliet, maternal grandparents Adelma and Jim Oakgrove, paternal grandparents John and Elaine Little, aunts Shelley, Nicole (Donald) Brun, Lisa Sayers, and Annie Oakgrove, uncles Jay (Mary) Little, Dez (Janice) Little and Barry Oakgrove; special friend Marrisa Mills; many cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Proceeded in death by his father Mark Heath Little, uncles Niles and Scott Little, great-grandparents Edward and Anna Lussier, Matthew and Ethel Sayers, and grandfather Bruce Sayers.

Funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Redby Community Center.

All night wakes will be held on Thursday and Friday at the Redby Community Center starting at 12:00pm Thursday.

Casketbearers will be Donald Brun Jr., Shawn Oakgrove Sr., Keith, Jonathon, Stephan and Joshua Cloud, Dallas Little and Doug Pocklington.

Honorary casket bearers will be Calvin and Kyle Little, Barry, Leichelie, Anna, Annie, and Holly Oakgrove, Shanoah Little (Barajas), Avery White, Dylan Cook, Quanah Machacek, Hannah Lieder, Kevin Lieder, Frank Brun, Leonard King, Jay and Dez Little, Gina Carlson, Ramon Sayers.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Red Lake, MN.
