Nicholas John Benais-Buffalo, 5 of Red Lake, MN died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Red Lake Hospital.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, MN with Father Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin at 10:00am, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, and will continue until the time of the service. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born on August 1, 2008, in Bemidji, MN, the son of Marlene Buffalo and Darren Benais Jr. He was always a happy little boy, who always had a big smile on his face. He loved to be outside, play video games, and with toy cars. He loved hot Cheetos, riding his bike, playing with and teasing his sister.

He is survived by: Mother, Marlene Buffalo, Father, Darren Benais Jr., Sister, Miranda Buffalo, Maternal Grandmother, Kathleen Buffalo, Paternal Grandparents, Darren Benais Sr. and Marlys King, Maternal Great-Grandparents, Robert Mitchell and Mary Sayers, Paternal Great Grandmother, Grace Ness, Foster Parents, Gloria Cloud, and Robert Kingbird, Aunties, Michele Buffalo, Nicole Buffalo, Renee King, Sondra Murray, and Tamera Benais, Uncle, Doug King, Brandon Murray.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal Great Grandmother Leslie Buffalo, Paternal Great Grandmother Helen Smith, cousin Dominic John Needham Sr., numerous aunties and uncles.

Active Casketbearers will be: Daniel Jorgenson, Robert Cloud Sr., Joe Redeagle, Dan White, Myron Benais, Frank Gurno, Alternates: Curt Desjarlait, and Clarence Yellow.
