Primary Function:

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Little Rock Community Center and the Little Rock Community Coordinator. Full-time position with Benefits, reports directly to Little Rock District Representatives. Salary; $14.00 hrly w/.50 increase after successfully completing 90-day probationary period.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

• Oversee the daily activities of the Little Rock Community Coordinator.

• Prepares financial budget; monitors and controls expenses, and revised budgets as necessary.

• Prepares and submits monthly reports to the Little Rock Community Board and District Representatives.

• Maintains a high-profile visibility throughout the Little Rock Community; develops education programs and serves as primary Public Relations Representative contact.

• Plays a positive and active leadership role in fostering team relationships; leads by example and models effective communications and empowerment behaviors.

• Provides staff clear direction and establishes performance expectations to achieve continuous improvement; manages staff performance including evaluation, recognition and performance correction.

• Helps prepare for involvement in community organizations and events.

• Responds to calls for community members regarding planned events and activities. (Wakes/funerals always take priority!)

• Schedules community wide events to include; Holiday activities, skiing, tubing, swimming, community clean-up day, etc.

• Maintains a highly visible calendar for upcoming community events and educational programs.

• Works with ALL community members in a respectful and friendly manner.

• Must respond to work related emails and phone calls in a timely manner.

• Must take initiative to actively plan, promote and organize events for the Little Rock Community.

• Must oversee that the Little Rock Center is cleaned, mopped, swept, and kept tidy.

• Required to submit monthly written reports on activities to the Board and Little Rock Representatives.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Little Rock community member and maintain residency.

• GED/High School Diploma-REQUIRED!

• Basic computer knowledge/experience.

• 3-6 months related experience and/or training-or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Supervisory experience.

• Works well with children 5 thru 18 years of age.

• Valid Minnesota Drivers License (which must be maintained).

• Current proof of insurance for personal vehicle.

• Reliable personal vehicle.

• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test and Background Check.
