Owen Helton Robinson

Owen Helton Robinson, 51, of Inger, MN died in Red Lake Monday, July 7, 2014 at his sister's home.

Owen was born in Cass Lake, MN to Loretta (Tuttle) and Archie Robinson, Sr. on May 20, 1963. He grew up in Inger, MN, where he attended North Elementary School followed by high school in Deer River, MN. Later in life, he moved to Duluth.

Owen was a fun-loving man who joked around a lot and made people laugh. He loved kids and liked to give them treats and often made them unique homemade toys. He shared with them clever ideas and showed them things that he had grown up with. Owen liked to collect rocks, antiques, and other rare items. He took care of his mother, many nieces and nephews, and anyone who needed help. He especially enjoyed going down to the boardwalk on Lake Superior to sit with friends and family. He had a special friend, Cee Cee, whom he liked to spend time with. If Owen couldn't be found, he'd be with her. He never complained, even when his illness brought him significant pain. He will always be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include special friend, Cee Cee; two sons, Alvin Sam-Robinson, and Thomas Herbsleb-Robinson; two grandsons, Monacos and Okimos; one brother, Archie Robinson, Jr .; three sisters, Delores Lanham, Edna Robinson, and Alice Robinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Owen was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Mary Robinson, Elsie Robinson, Donna Robinson, Carol Robinson, and Cindy Robinson; and one brother, William Robinson.

A traditional wake will begin 3 pm Wednesday, July 9, 2014 and will continue until the 11:00 am Thursday funeral services at the Inger Community Center, Inger, MN, with spiritual advisor, Steve Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Tuttle Cemetery. Arrangements are being made with Dennis Funeral Home of Walker (www.dennisfuneralhome.com).
