Dean Karl Moe, 46, of West Fargo, ND, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 22, 2014, in Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

He was born in Ada, MN, on July 11, 1967 to Nancy L. and Roger D. Moe. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Ada. After graduating from Ada High School in 1986, he attended Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. After college Dean worked as an advocate for conservations groups and hunting and fishing organizations. Recently he worked in marketing and retail sales in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Dean enjoyed working with hunting dogs. He enjoyed entertaining his nephews and niece at family gatherings. Dean has a love for dogs and was blessed to have many over the years. His love of travel took him to Norway, Finland, Sweden, Holland, Italy and many other places. He enjoyed working on political campaigns because of the excitement and people involved. Dean was a social person; kind and respectful, he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with people of all ages and backgrounds. Dean's passions were golf and hunting and horse racing. He was always willing to offer friends his picks for the Kentucky Derby.

Family members include father: Roger (Paulette) Moe of Erskine, MN, sisters: Amy (Ben) Carlsrud of West Fargo, ND, Jennifer (Robert) LeDoux of Duluth, MN, and Carmody Cutter of Santa Barbara, CA. Niece and Nephews: Olivia, Ethan and William Carlsrud and Richard and Anthony LeDoux and many other relatives. Dean was preceded in death by his mother Nancy, his grandparents Gordon and Eleanor Westgaard and Melvin and Mathilde Moe, and his uncle James Westgaard.

Memorial Service: 2:00PM Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.

Burial: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN
