Carol Louise Patterson "Mishakwadok" (Blue Sky Woman), age 50, of Ponemah, MN journeyed to the spirit world on June 15, 2014 at Cornerstone Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Bagley, MN.

She was born on July 24, 1963 in Ponemah, MN where she was raised for a short time before her family moved to Minneapolis. She later returned to Ponemah where she lived up until the time she was hosptitalized. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, reading, doing crossword puzzles and cooking.

Carol is survived by her mother Violet Patterson Stillday of Ponemah, children Rose Marie Stately of Gordon, NE, Michelle Stately of Bemidji, MN, Simon John Stately, Kyle Stately both of Red Lake, grandchildren Seth Stately, Ian Mills, Bailee Cloud, Raya Jourdain, Rob Jourdain Jr., Nissa Mae Sumner-Stately, Sayden Stately, Samiyah Stately, and Kayden Stately, siblings Marilyn Stillday of Ponemah, Michelle "Shelly" Johns, Simone "Moonie" Johns both of Red Lake, MN, Ronald Patterson of Ponemah and Michael "Mike" Johns of Red Lake, very close niece Colette Patterson, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles that loved her dearly, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Simon Zackary Johns, grandparents Clarence Sr. and Sybil Stillday, sister Sherylann Patterson, nephews Clarence Jesse James Patterson Sr., and Lowell Kingbird, aunt Carmella Raincloud, and uncle George Stillday.

Funeral service for Carol Patterson will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah. Steve Jackson will officiate.

An all-night wake will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah.

Honorary Casket Bearers are Colette Patterson, Margo Spears, Shelly Johns, Simone Johns, Roberta Raincloud, Theran Stillday, Celeste Thomas, Monaya Loud, Jerry Kingbird and Michael Stillday.

Casket Bearers are Harold Raincloud, Harlen Stillday, Leon Kingbird, Michael Johns, Kevin Patterson, and Alvie Stillday. Alternate Bruce Taylor.

Interment Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah, MN.
