Alberta Agnes Fairbanks, 69, of Red Lake, passed away at the Jourdain-Perpich Nursing Home in Red Lake. She was born on January 9, 1945 in Red Lake, the daughter of Albert and Edna (Jourdain) Martin.

She was preceded in death by her children; Joseph Little Bear Webster, brother; Fredrick Jourdain, sisters; Mary Martin and Kathy Martin, parents; Albert (Pauline) Martin and Edna Claira Jourdain, grandparents; Ida Spears and John Thunder many aunts and uncles, previous marriages; Patrick Charles Lussier, Richard "Dick" Benjamin, Keith Wayne Lowmaster, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Alberta is survived by her children; Franklin John Lussier, Steven Charles Lussier, Mitchell Duane Lussier, Debra Kay Lussier White, Ronald James Fairbanks, Shawna Teresa Marie Webster, Johnny Big Bear Webster, Glenn Fairbanks and Ricardo Wade Benjamin Fairbanks, brothers; Ronald Albert Martin, Bruce Ringhand, Albert Martin, Jr., Bill Martin, Tony Martin, Michael Martin, sisters; Ruth Martin, Margaret Martin, special friend Timothy Eugene Spriggs, previous marriages Ronald James Fairbanks, Sr. and special friend Chuncy Webster II.

A wake service for Alberta will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2014 and will continue until the 10:00 a.m. service on Tuesday, June 3, all at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah. Anna Gibbs is the spiritual leader. Active pallbearers will be Charles "Chip" May, Vernon May, Robert "Beguy" May, Delwyn Cloud, Darwin Iceman, Dewayne Iceman, Randall Lee White, Arnold May and Charlie May. Honorary pallbearers are Virginia Spears, Phyllis Iceman, Priscilla Iceman, Charlene King, Georgia Mayotte, Rose Brun, Alvira Morgan and all the nursing home staff and residents. Interment will be held in the family cemetery.
