Joseph Charles Pelchat III, “White Feather”, age 55, of Butner, North Carolina journeyed to the Spirit World on Monday, May 26th, 2014.

He was born on 4/28/1959 in Chicago, Illinois to Amelia (Cook) and Joseph Pelchat II.

Joseph was formerly employed as a realtor.

Survived by sons: Joseph Pelchat IIII and Roderick Pelchat; a daughter: Crystal Pelchat; three grandchildren; aunts: Ina Mae McNeal, Elaine Blanchard (Doc), Barb Cook and Mary Ellen Stillday (Paul), Sammi Braddock uncles: Hanky, Donald and Fabian (Missy) Cook; special sister: Jan Thunder; many cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his mother: Amelia, Grandparents: Teddy and Ida Cook, aunts: Roberta Crowe, Vi Donnell, uncle:Billy Cook, cousins: Carla Brun, Diane Cook, Mushy Spears and Darren Cook.

Funeral services for Joseph Pelchat III will be held on Sunday, June 1st at 5:00 P.M. at The Church of Gichitwaa Kateri in Minneapolis. Father Mike Tegeder will be the Celebrant. Drum Group will be “Hoka Hey”.

All night wakes will be held on Monday, June 2nd and Tuesday, June 3rd beginning at 5:00 P.M. at The Red Lake Community Center.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 4th at 11:00 A.M. at The Red Lake Community in Red Lake, Minnesota. Interment at The Red Lake Cemetery.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Wendell, Dahl and Kevin Cook, Harlan, Bill, Bob and Ron McNeal, Donny Cook, Craig and Clayton Cook, Fabian, Brian, Mike and Teddy Crowe, Doug Cook, Mister Sayers, Lee Garrigan Jr., Rod Spears Jr and Eddy Fairbanks

Casket Bearers will be Ramon and Craig Sayers, Duane Cook, Lyle Chaboyea.
