Quentin was born December 23rd, 1994 the son of Anita Bellanger and Bobby Benais, Sr.

He was raised in Red Lake, MN, and graduated from the Alumni McFord High School in Dallas, Texas. He liked to listen to music and spend time with his friends. Quentin enjoyed playing guitar, especially Johnny Cash and Lynyrd Skynyrd songs. He was a talented artist and could draw exceptionally well. He also enjoyed hunting, trapping, and fishing. He loved his brothers very much. Quentin was learning to speak Ojibwe really well and wanted to encourage others to learn the language as well.

Quentin wanted his words to be heard at his wake and for the whole reservation. He regretted any harm or wrong-doing he had caused anyone, and he forgave the ones who had hurt him. He just wanted to see everyone succeed. He wanted to see a change on the reservation and for everyone to teach the new generation our tradition and culture, and not the negative ways of life. He felt strongly that we are all of one love and one family.

He is survived by his mother, Anita Bellanger; his step-dad, Greg Branchaud; his father, Bobby Benais, Sr.; his brothers, Brian (Emily) Bellanger, Matthew (Chantel) Bellanger, Bobby Benais, Jr., Jacob Benais, and Trevor Benais; his nieces and nephew; numerous aunties and uncles; his beloved dog, Rosco; his two fat cats, Simon and Sebastian; and many friends.
