Lettie Bernadette Brown, 74, 'Min-de mo-yay' which means 'Lady' of Minneapolis passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at Augustana Health Care Center in Minneapolis. Lettie was born on January 13, 1940 in Federal Dam, Minnesota to John and Lettie Morrow.

Lettie was a fun outgoing lady, who loved helping everyone. She liked to bead, do puzzles, going to pow-wows and she enjoyed walking around various parts of Minneapolis to visit her friends and family. Lettie was a nurses aide at several nursing in Minneapolis for many years. She was a spunky little woman.

Those welcoming Lettie home are her parents, her sisters; Darlene, Caroline and Eunice and her brothers; Arthur and Hartley.

She leaves behind her daughters; Claudia Brown of Minneapolis, 'Little' Claudia and Julia Brown of Mexico, son; Dennis Brown, Jr. of Minneapolis, brothers; Laverne and Jack Morrow of Minneapolis and Max Morrow of Cass Lake, sisters; Janice Brown of Arizona, Leona Shaugobay and Barbara Shipley of Longville.

A visitation for Lettie will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Division of Indian Work in Minneapolis. Her wake will begin at the Facility Center in Cass Lake on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until the 11:00 a.m. service on Wednesday also held at Facility Center. Lettie's pallbearers are Phillip Harrington, Max Morrow, Kenny Morrow, Ron Brown, Randy Dorr and Dennis Brown, Jr. Her honorary pallbearers are James Shaugobay, Joel Shaugobay, Jeanie Morrow, Joanie Morrow and Jack Morrow. Interment for Lettie will be held in the Fairview Cemetery in Federal Dam following the service on Wednesday.
