Lawrence Owen Branchaud

Lawrence Owen Branchaud, 67 of Red Lake died Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Red Lake Hospital.

Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake, MN with Fr. Raul Perez-Cobo officiating. A wake will begin at 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Red Lake Center and go until the time of service. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born August 21, 1946 in Red Lake, MN the son of Irvin and Frances (Cook) Branchaud. He was raised and educated in Red Lake, graduating from Red Lake High School in 1964. He attended the Haskell College from 1964 until he graduated in 1966 with a degree in Printing. He was drafted into the US Army in 1967, served during the Vietnam era, and was Honorably Discharged in 1969. He worked a number of jobs; as a Printer for 3M, as a florist at a floral shop, and as a janitor for the Red Lake School District. He enjoyed reading, watching TV, going to the Casino, and hanging out with his PCA Alicia White.

He is survived by his sisters Ethel, Sylvia, Sue Antone, Sandy Miller, Judy Brummond, Bev (Dick) Bailey and Patsy Rudolph; brothers Greg, Bill (Muggs), Mike (Char), Dave Branchaud and Lee (Patty) Cook

He was preceded in death by his parents Tippy and Kicken Branchaud, nephews Darren "Scruff" Cook, Brandon Cobenais, nieces Donna Cobenais, and Wilma Branchaud.

Honorary Casketbearers will be all his sisters and brothers

Active Casketbearers will be Mylen Brummond, Ron Branchaud, Dave Cobenais Sr., Gary Jourdain Jr., Gary Branchaud, Scott Branchaud, Dean Branchaud and Christopher Branchuad.
