Region 2 Arts Council Sponsors Poetry Workshop

The purpose of this workshop is to show both beginning and advanced poets how to use their favorite poems as a point of departure for writing their own poetry. The workshop will explore how reading influences writing by looking at samples of well-known poets who have written poetry based on other poets’ work. Participants will also discuss different methods of writing poetry, have time to free-write, and then discuss each others work. Bring your favorite poems for inspiration, paper and a pen.
