Eugene Duane Garbow, 71, of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in his home.

Gene was born in Knife River, Minnesota on February 1, 1943, to William and Eunice (Nayquonabe) Garbow.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating, fishing, and attending car shows.

Eugene (Gene) was survived by his son, Erik Garbow (and partner, Diane Pilant); his son, Emmanuel Garbow (and partner, Emma Bosin); two grandchildren, Emmanuel Jr. and Sylvia; sisters, Lucille Garbow and Myrna (Wanous) Bender; and brother, Albert Wanous.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eunice Garbow; brother, Ben Garbow; and sister, Beverly (Garbow) Benjamin.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 12 Noon at The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Community Center in Onamia, Minnesota, with Lee Staples officiating.

A wake will be held on Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 one hour prior to services at The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Community Center in Onamia, Minnesota.

Interment will follow the service, in Woodland Cemetery.
