2013 Anishinabe Run for Sobriety begins in Ponemah - P8

At about 1 PM on Monday, July 29, 2013, the Anishinabe Run for Sobriety began at the Ponemah Point. The six-day run, which would coincide with the annual four day run for sobriety and health from Red Lake to Fon du Lac, would take runners through all Red Lake Communities on the first two days prior to leaving for Mashkawisen..

On Day One the runners ended the day about 7 PM at the Halfway House in Redby, Minnesota. They will continue from there on Tuesday and run through the Red Lake and Little Rock Communities.

At the Red Lake Chemical Health Programs site at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, the annual four day run for sobriety and health would begin, finishing at the Mash-ka-wisen pow-wow grounds at Fon du Lac on Saturday, August 3.
