Richard Edward Strong Jr.

Richard Edward Strong Jr., age 14, of Redby, Minnesota Journeyed to the Spirit World on Friday, June 7, 2013.

He was born on September 15, 1998 in Bemidji, Minnesota the son of Richard Strong Sr. and Elizabeth Hegstrom.

Richard loved playing sports, hanging around with his friends. He preferred to be called “Eddie” by his family and friends. He will be remembered by his family and many friends as an outgoing, warm, loving young man. He was always cheerful and everyone enjoyed his company.

In addition to his parents, Richard is survived by a brother: Ryan and by a sisters: Rhianne Strong, Destinee Strong and Natalie Wilson; grandparents: Jennifer Smith & Louis Hegstrom and Ruby Whitefeather and by a great grandmother: Veronica Hegstrom.

Preceded in death by great grandparents: Irene & Patrick Smith and Aaron Hegstrom, a grandfather: Marvin Strong Sr., great aunts: Patricia, Cynthia and Joan, great uncle: Charlie Smith, Bruce & Mike Hegstrom and other numerous aunts and uncles.

Funeral services for Richard Strong Jr. will be held Thursday, June 13th, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at The Redby Community Center. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake.

Traditional Drum Group will be “Eyabay”.

All night wakes will be held Tuesday, June 11th and Wednesday, June 12th at The Redby Community Center beginning at 1:00 P.M.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Casket Bearers will be Robin Lussier, Sean Lussier, Justin Johnson, Zack Morrison, Joseph Strong, Cedric Laduke, Damon Jones and Dakota Strong.

Casket Bearers will be Randy Johnson Jr., Jack Johnson, Gary Jackson, Ramon Rodriguez, Mike Barrett, Ricky Jackson, Robert Anderson and David Laduke.
