UPDATED RED LAKE TRUST FUND DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT
Please note location change for Redby, Red Lake, and Little Rock distribution site
Employees getting everything ready for the distribution of checks on Wednesday night.
DISTRIBUTION SITES FOR THE TRUST FUND CHECKS WILL BE OPEN FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 8:00 P.M.
Red Lake, Redby and Little Rock Districts will be at the RL Humanities Building
Ponemah District will be at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club
The Red Lake Tribal Council is pleased to announce that a $200.00 distribution for all duly enrolled Red Lake Band members was approved.
DISTRIBUTION OF CHECKS IS SCHEDULED AS FOLLOWS:
On Reservation Members: Thursday, December 13, 2012
Red Lake, Redby and Little Rock at the Red Lake Humanities Center
Ponemah District at the Ponemah Community Center
(Please be prepared to show a picture I.D. when picking up your check)
Checks that are not picked up at the distribution sites will be mailed on 12/14/12
Off Reservation Members: Checks will be mailed on Thursday, December 13, 2012.
TO ENROLL WITH THE RED LAKE TRIBE, YOU WILL NEED:
1. A completed notarized application.
2. An original certified birth certificate which lists the enrolled parent(s).
3. Other required documentation as stated on the enrollment application
INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING DATES OF IMPORTANCE:
Enrollment applications deadline is Thursday, November 2. 2012 at 5:00 p.m. Those eligible for enrollment, and not enrolled, must submit a COMPLETED application to the Enrollment Department by November 2, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. Checks will not be issued until the applicant is officially enrolled.
A proof of guardianship deadline is Wednesday, November 21, 2012 by close of business. (Court orders, custody papers, relative care/MFIP verification)
Address change deadline is Wednesday, November 21, 2012 by close of business.
The Enrollment office will need address changes for all Tribal Members living on and off the Reservation. An update of your voting district is also needed. Address changes will also be taken by phone at 218-679-3341.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Checks reported as lost will have a 60-day waiting period before a new check can be issued. A $20.00 stop payment fee will be assessed for each check.
Please contact your local post office if you suspect your check is lost in the mail. The 60 day waiting period is in effect for lost mail.
On checks reported as stolen, you will be required to utilize Law Enforcement Services.
Checks that are not picked up by March 31, 2012 will be voided and returned to the trust account. Those checks WILL NOT be re-issued after March 31, 2012.
