The deadline is approaching to enter the Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council’s 2nd annual Great American Story contest for oral storytellers. First place storyteller will receive an award of $1,000. The public is invited to participate in The Ride for the Homeless, Sunday June 18th, at The Wolfe located at 522 America Avenue, Bemidji. The Wolfe, an overnight shelter for homeless men and women with chronic substance use issues, is operated by the Nameless Coalition for the Homeless. The very successful Loop the Lake Festival will once again be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 with as many as 800 bicyclists on the course in the morning and early afternoon.
