The Twin Cities will get an early taste of winter weather on Thursday and Friday with highs in the 20s, according to the National Weather Service. After a dusting of light snow Wednesday night, St. Paul and Minneapolis can expect a brisk northwest wind of 10 to 15 miles per hour to make Thursday’s unseasonably cold weather even more biting, said Lisa Schmit, a meteorologist with the NWS in Chanhassen. Olympic gold medalist Billy Mills and his wife, Pat, will be in town this weekend to participate in the second annual Billy Mills 10K at Haskell Indian Nations University.
