She began her career after former Postmaster Claude Beaulieu retired in 1985. A new Postmaster has already been assigned to Redby. On her last day Judy Lussier donated a cake from the Redby One Stop as a token from the community for her years of service. Bridget was much appreciated, and she will be missed....

The Red Lake Nation held its 1st Annual Fall Fun Festival on Saturday afternoon, September 28, 2014, in Red Lake. This event featured basketball tournaments, skate board competitions, volleyball tournaments, a tug-of-war competition, potato dance, face painting, big foot races, musical chairms, cake walk, gunny sack races, a dunk tank, tricycle races and more. A feast also took place in the afternoon. It was well attended and a lot of fun for both kids and adults....

The Warriors drew first blood immediately, Laporte answered in their first drive, with Red Lake coming right back with a TD run by Michael Seki Jr. Seki would continue to score, ending the afternoon with 5 touchdowns. On September 16, 2014 the Ponemah School dedicated their new school sign that was recently finished a week or so ago. Commissioned by Patrick Desjarlait Jr., the project was a couple years in the making and beautifully represented the community of Ponemah.
