They gave out 600 bags of school supplies, had carnival games with kids that gave out prizes, face painting, had a bouncy house, obstacle course and a dunk tank, and fed them all, along with giving away some bikes and backpacks in the end....
The 3rd Annual Kaishauna Sky Thunder Memorial Walk/Run Against Drunk Driving was held in Redby on Thursday, August 18, 2016. WALKER—Cass County Board Tuesday adopted a 2017 preliminary levy of $21,556,545, or 4.81 percent more than the 2016 levy. The county's tax rate would rise from 31.423 this year to 32.716 in 2017. This would mean about $22 more county taxes for a $200,000 homeowner, Josh Stevenson, incoming administrator said. BEMIDJI—Cass County authorities are seeking help in locating a woman who went missing from a Motley, Minn., group home. According to a news release Wednesday from the Cass County Sheriff's Office, Alice Whim, 21, is missing from a residential group home on 61st Avenue SW in Motley. Law enforcement believes that Whim is voluntarily missing and no foul play is suspected. A new analysis of data collected by the Education Department’s Office of Civil Rights from the 2013-14 school year shows that more than 6.5 million students, or about 13 percent in grades K-12, missed 15 or more days of school.
