    CASS LAKE -- The U.S. Department of Education announced Friday more than $50.4 million in grant funding has been awarded to American Indian tribally controlled colleges and universities. Leech Lake Tribal College in Cass Lake is the recipient of $1.2 million.     RED LAKE, MN - The Seven Clans Casino held their 3rd Annual Car Show on Saturday beginning at 10 AM, August 29, 2015.     The Red Lake Warriors played their first home game of the season on Friday, August 28, 2015, falling to the Blackduck Drakes 53-20. Rob McClain Jr. had all three touchdowns for the Warriors, one on an offensive pass, and two on defense--an interception and a fumble recovery.     BEMIDJI — The Bemidji Speedway points season came to an end Sunday night, with track championships held for each of eight classes of cars. With many points battles to close to call prior to race time the tension was high both in the pits and for the fans in the stands.     WALKER-- A Walker man arrested for felony drug sale after Leech Lake Tribal Police and the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force executed a search warrant and found methamphetamine, prescription pills and firearms in April at his residence has been sentenced to a year in jail. Charges against the woman he was arrested with were dismissed. Joshua White, 21, was charged with five felony level drug offenses and a firearm charge.
