BEMIDJI -- A man from Richfield has plead guilty to charges in an attempted meth trafficking case. Alex "Sparky" Dejesus-Zuniga, 18, plead guilty to felony first-degree conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and giving a peace officer a false name on Aug. 11 in Beltrami County Court. Dejesus-Zuniga was arrested in May with two other individuals while transporting 43 grams of methamphetamine in a Jeep headed from the Twin Cities to the Red Lake Indian Reservation. BEMIDJI -- A Bemidji man who was arrested with a large amount of marijuana, firearms and methamphetamine in November was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Barry Lee Jacobson, 46, was convicted Aug. 11 in Beltrami County Court of one count of felony first-degree drug sale and one count of felony weapon possession.
