    Unofficially, six Red Lake School Board Candidates have advanced to the November General Election, after polls closed at 8 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in the Primary Election. The results won't be certified until a Special School Board Meeting is held on Friday, August 15, 2014. Seventeen candidates had filed for the 3 positions that are up for election, the most ever in a Red Lake School Board election.     On Tuesday, August 12, 2014, the Red Lake Tribal Council held their Regular Meeting at the Red Lake Humanities Center. Their first order of business was the swearing in of all remaining winners of the July 2014 Red Lake Tribal Run-Off Elections. In those Run-Off Elections, Don Cook was re-elected for another term as Tribal Secretary, defeating challenger Sam Strong by a difference of 138 votes, 1464 to 1326.
