LITTLE ROCK - On Monday, July 25, 2016, Sam Strong reported his dog missing from his home in the Little Rock District. The dog's name was Ogema and he was offering a $500.00 reward for it's return. This afternoon on Facebook Strong thanked everyone who was helping in the search, stating they had found Ogema "shot and killed and rolled up in some old blankets, along with some of his shoes that were taken from his property" on the previous day. The Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians hosted an Ojibwe Language and Culture Camp for youth on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 19 to 21, 2016 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. for the fourth consecutive year on three hot but thankfully breezy days. Over the weekend, the Red Lake Boy's and GIrl's Club had been vandalized. The garden that club members helped to plant were destroyed, and the bricks that were purchased to make a nice place for the teens, had been trashed as well.
