RED LAKE -- The Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians 2014 Election is nearly complete. Unofficial run-off election results were released Wednesday evening. Incumbent Don Cook Sr. won the Secretary seat with 52.47 percent of the votes. Sam Strong ran against Cook in a close race. Strong received 1,326 votes, 138 votes less than Cook. On Tuesday, July 15, 2014, the Little Rock Community held its Grand Opening for its new Community Center, located just south of their older one. Although there is still some construction taking place, a ribbon cutting ceremony was conducted and about 200 people came out to take part in the ceremony.
