    BEMIDJI—Rated as the third-highest in the state for its injury-related crashes, an intersection just west of Bemidji will be replaced this summer with an overpass for safer highway travel. The new overpass, which will allow traffic to flow from state Highway 89 over U.S. Highway 2, is under construction to reduce that rating which has made it one of the more dangerous in Minnesota.     On July 4, 2015 at approximately 4:15 PM, the Beltrami County deputies responded to a 911 call of a female who was found unresponsive in the water on Cass Lake. Deputies learned that the victim, identified as Brenda Lois Larson, age 50 of Eden Prairie, MN, had been riding in a boat being driven by Matthew Allen Kinghorn, age 45 of Minnetonka, MN.
