After fire destroyed the historic St. Mary's Mission Church on Saturday morning, December 2, 2017 about 2:36 AM, services were held in their Mission School gym on Sunday, December 3rd. Around 70 unionized transit workers assembled at a Metropolitan Council transportation committee meeting in Minneapolis Monday to voice concerns over an ongoing contract dispute. Two men charged in the May shooting death of a Minneapolis man in Fridley pleaded guilty on Monday.
