    The 10th Annual Red Lake Nation Youth Leadership Conference began today, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 and will run through Friday, May 1, 2015, at Red Lake High School in Red Lake Minnesota. This years conference theme is "Growing Together, Stronger Together." Presentations and workshop are scheduled for each day from 8 AM to 3 PM, and just a half day on Friday.     Our Child Care Program couldn't make it to the Elementary School in time to join their walk on Monday, April 27th so we decided to join in by doing our own walk on our own grounds for Prevention of Child and Elder Abuse. We left Oshkiimaajitahdah Child Care and walked east on the frontage road past the Red Lake Propane Company to the stop sign at Hwy 1 - turned around and took the same road back.     On Thursday, April 23, 2015, the Red Lake Girls Softball Team hosted Nevis in a game that was originally scheduled for April 7, 2015, but had to be postponed due to the weather. The girls led at one point 10-7, but a strong comeback by Nevis gave them the victory, 22-11. Red Lake's JV Girls Softball Team also lost to Nevis.
