    FERGUS FALLS — A Red Lake man was convicted last week of assaulting an infant on the Red Lake Indian Reservation, according to a statement from the U.S. attorney’s office for Minnesota. James White Jr., 40, was convicted in federal court in Fergus Falls on one count of assault of an infant resulting in serious bodily injury. According to the indictment and evidence presented at trial, the assault occurred last Aug. 30. White faces a potential maximum penalty of life in prison. U.S. District Judge John R.
