    DULUTH-A Red Lake man was sentenced Wednesday to 30 years in federal prison for kidnapping and assaulting three people on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in February 2015. Darrell Lussier, 36, was sentenced before Judge Richard H. Kyle in U.S. District Court in Duluth. A federal jury found Lussier guilty Sept. 3 on three counts each of kidnapping and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.     The longtime chairwoman of the White Earth Band of Chippewa has resigned. The tribal council voted 3-0 to accept Erma Vizenor's resignation. She was censured in late December for working outside her scope of authority over a new constitution and faced an ouster from her position. Vizenor became chairwoman in 2004.     WHITE EARTH -- Erma Vizenor resigned Wednesday as chairwoman of the White Earth Band of Chippewa. The White Earth Tribal Council, by a vote of 3-0, accepted her resignation Wednesday, a release from the council said.
