BENA—Students at the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School received an important message from Viktor the Viking on Wednesday. The official Minnesota Vikings mascot visited the school with his "Viktor's Quest to S.T.O.P. Bullying" program. S.T.O.P. is an acronym for Stand up, Take action, Open up and Protect yourself. DNR seeks public input on forest roads, trails in new Cass County state forest

BEMIDJI—The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is hosting an open house for the public to learn more about roads and trails in Centennial State Forest, Minnesota's newest state forest located in Cass County. BEMIDJI -- A Garfield, Minn., snowmobile enthusiast was on his way to fulfilling a lifelong dream Sunday when things suddenly went very wrong north of Blackduck. U.S. sues student loan giant Navient, says it 'failed' borrowers

WASHINGTON — The largest U.S. student loan servicer, Navient Corp., cheated borrowers out of billions of dollars, often by deceiving them about repayment options and their legal rights, the U.S. consumer financial watchdog said on Wednesday, Jan. 18, as it announced a lawsuit against the company. The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau accused Navient, which was spun off of Sallie Mae in 2014, of "systematically and illegally failing borrowers at every stage of repayment."
